I did better in the restricted ward and asked to go back the same day. Going to treatment helped me so much and gave me tools to cope with my cutting. The rehab/treatment center worked much better for me than the psychiatric ward in the hospital. A therapist is a good person to have, and you can start or continue with them after your inpatient treatment. I’ve been seeing my therapist for 10 years and I will continue to see her even though I no longer cut. Best of luck to you. I hope you get into a good program and that it helps you.
