Why Aren’t ActUP, Green Peace, Occupy Wall Street or Sierra Club Honored as Patriots Like Soldiers?

Question by Average College Student: Why aren’t ActUP, Green Peace, Occupy Wall Street or Sierra Club honored as Patriots like soldiers?
The media portrays only soldiers that fight in a war as a patriot. But what about all the other soldiers fighting for human rights, peace, equality, and fairness. We are so twisted and worped in thinking that only those that kill can be considered.
Most “soldiers” work in an office or perform services like Latrine Cleaning so this has to be considered!!!
